Cheers to 2010! With a new year comes reflections on the past and the amazing view of the future to come. 2009 was a great year . . . full of celebrations and new adventures. I don't know that going into 2009 we thought we'd be where we are today. We sold our home and started the new home build and we traveled to England and Ireland for Meaghan's wedding . . . these were not part of our initial plan for 2009, but boy, are we so glad that we have had these experiences and so many more. We've learned how to go with the flow and constantly reevaluate or reset expectations (our own!). We're still figuring out what you can and can't live without for 8 months in an apartment with a toddler and what we would have put into storage and wished we hadn't put into storage! :) Regardless, 2010 will be a big year for us too! A new house is on the way and with that comes another big move. We're looking forward to whatever the year brings and teaches us. Here's to health and joy in 2010! |

It was so, so hard to not decorate in September for our month of Halloween fun in October. But we're all decorated and ready for Ghoulish Fun and Pumpkin Delights. What will you be for Halloween? Little man will be Peter Pan . . . or if we have to, we can always call him Robin Hood too! |

It's true, Bridget's sister Meaghan is engaged to Duncan! Alaska is being rescheduled, and the family is heading to the lovely (and hopefully much cooler than Texas) East Midlands of England in September. Of course, we couldn't go to England without pit stops in London and Ireland. We are looking forward to the special occassion for Meaghan & Duncan and the getaway too. |

It's official, we've booked flights to Alaska this summer. We're so blessed to get to visit the Johnson family fishing business in Clam Gultch and explores the shores of Alaska and then cheer on the Texas 4000 For Cancer team as they ride in to Anchorage. There are many months between now and August, but we're so excited! |

This week was Spring Break in Austin which means lots of fun outdoors! Tuesday was the Austin Zoo, then playground fun with friends on Wednesday, Aimee Bobruk's show at Fran's on Thursday, and Hoppin House with a friend on Friday! We spent Friday night enjoying petting zoo fun and carnival rides at the Star of Texas Fairgrounds. Then Saturday was family shopping excursion and lunch at The Grove. Then to dinner with friends at our East Austin fav, Primizie and drinks at Uncorked. Today a 30-mile bike ride! The sun has been shining, and the Bluebonnets are blooming. This is when Austin is at it's best. |
